The Prasiolite is a medium-hard gemstone and is easy
to keep beautiful in your jewellery. The Prasiolite is stable towards light, and will not fade in colour, but keep the gemstone away from high temperatures, as the gemstone may crack in extreme heat.

Clean your jewellery with Prasiolite with warm water, a mild soap and a soft cloth or brush. It’s not recommended to clean Prasiolite jewellery with an ultrasonic cleaner or with steam.

PRASIOLITE'S GEMMOLOGY

Prasiolite is a quartz gemstone and is sometimes referred to as Green Amethyst. Quartz by itself is colourless, but when it's affected by the earth's elements and temperatures during its creation, it can take on different colours. When quartz takes on a sage-green colour, it's called Prasiolite. When measuring a gemstone's hardness, Mohs' Hardness Scale is used. The scale varies from 1-10, where 10 is the hardest. The Prasiolite gemstone is a 7 on Mohs' Hardness scale.
